This is an overcrowded market, and 99% of the people saying "you can make money blogging" are using that as hype to get you stay on their lousy site. And these sites are getting more and more spammy, and not even pretending. I actually don't think I'll make the A-list. The A-list knows who I am, and has chosen at very specific times to completely ignore what I do. This includes some A-listers that know I'm a devoted reader and take the time to give their posts some very careful responses. I do think it is realistic to aim for the B-list, or even the C-list, and see what happens. Yeah, Technorati's Top 100 hasn't changed all that much. But the world has changed in the meantime :) Awesome post and one that far, far more people need to read.
